Okitsu-shuku

There are many temples related to the Tokugawa family. Okitsu-shuku has an old-fashioned atmosphere. After the Meiji Period, the villas of the former commanders were built. It makes sense that it was famous as a "winter resort” to avoid the cold. You can feel the atmosphere of the Meiji Period when you visit Okitsu Zagyoso Memorial, which was restored in 2004.

Okaya Japanese-style Inn

Welcome to Okaya, a historic post town in Okitsu on the Tokaido road.

Travelers travelling down the Tokaido road and crossing the Sattata Pass will find the sea opening up before them,
luring them to the sound of the waves and feasting on fresh seafood.

Okitsu is the 17th of the 53 stations on the Tokaido road.

In this town with a long history stretching from ancient times, the Middle Ages and modern times,
please spend some time relaxing and reminiscing about the post towns of the past.

We cherish our hospitality and look forward to welcoming you.
