What is the Tokaido Goshukuba Seal Stamp?
Goshukuba Seal Stamps are commemorative cards for those who visited inns stations of Tokaido that served as highway during Edo era.
It is being sold at various stores around inns stations of Tokaido. Since the card has different design for each inn such as town scenery of inn station during Edo era and famous historical site that remain in modern times, etc., you will discover the charm of Japanese history and regions.
Please further enjoy traveling around various places in Japan by collecting Goshukuba Seal Stamps.

What is Tokaido?
Tokaido refers to one of the five highways improved by Shogun Tokunaga Ieyasu during Edo era. Fifty-three bases built between roads that connected Kyoto and Edo were called inns stations (Tokaidogojusantsugi). In modern times, National Route 1 is being improved along Tokaido, serving as the main road going back and forth between east and west of Japan.
