Fuchu-shuku

Although it's a lively town with new shops opening one after another, you'll be able to find remnants of the Edo Period if you take a leisurely stroll. The family temple of the concubine loved by Lord Ieyasu, the shopping street following "Osengen-san" loved by Shizuoka citizens, and the stylish tea town with the aroma of fresh tea. The attractive qualities usually overlooked due to people’s busy schedules were just around the corner.

Fugetsuro

Fugetsuro was founded in 1891 as a guest house and restaurant in Shizuoka, on the site of the residence of Tokugawa Yoshinobu. The Japanese garden created by Ogawa Jihei, a master gardener of Japan, shows a variety of expressions throughout the four seasons. It has an atmosphere that changes daily. The kaiseki cuisine, which is the restaurant's specialty, is prepared with ingredients unique to Shizuoka, which is blessed with seafood and mountains. You can feel the season with your eyes and tongue, along with the change of seasons.
